On October 26th, 2018, over 70 people came to the Waring House Hall for an update and fundraiser to pay legal fees incurred by our on-going challenge
to stop illegal land use and pollution into Picton Bay.

The speakers included Bob Bird, Wendy Murphy,Dave MacKay, Victor Lind, Brian Etherington and Libby Crombie (shown here).

save picton bayThe Board of Save Picton Bay wishes to thank all those who have stepped up to donate. It sends a very strong message to County Council and the Province of Ontario that this Community is alarmed by the wanton disrespect for the Environment and the Rule of Law. The oil spill and barge sinking which shut down Picton’s drinking water system for 10 days in 2017 surely was a wake up call and we are hopeful that the new Council and Mayor will start to take this issue seriously.

Save Picton Bay wishes to thank in particular Nora and Chris Rogers for donating the Hall and Michael David Hymus for his donation of $10,000 to kick off the event. Over $25,000 was raised at this event out of a total of over $85,000 since inception. If you can help, please donate!
